Mercury Solar Systems and MEMO-Sunshine Join Forces on 1.9MW in New Jersey Commercial Projects

Complete First Installation for Sidney Scheinert & Son, Inc.

SADDLE BROOK, NJ - October 10, 2011 - Mercury Solar Systems, one of the leading solar integrators on the East Coast and MEMO-Sunshine, a solar power purchase agreement company, today announced the completion of a 113 kilowatt (kW) system for Sidney Scheinert & Son, Inc. This is the first of several New Jersey commercial rooftop solar energy projects totaling 1.9MW that the companies jointly developed.

"Our solar system will not only enhance the value of our building but offset 55 percent of the electricity costs over the life of the system," commented Richard Scheinert, Owner of Sidney Scheinert & Son, Inc. "In addition to the savings, we saw a significant benefit in not having to maintain the system as part of our PPA arrangement. We thank both Mercury Solar Systems and MEMO-Sunshine for their flawless execution."

Sidney Scheinert & Son's 481-panel solar system was installed in July 2011. The system will produce enough energy to power 10 average size homes annually. This is equivalent to recycling 2.2 million cans of soda, planting 8,000 trees and taking 14 cars off the road every year.

"We continue to see a rise in the number of businesses considering solar power purchase agreements because of the compelling economics," said Frank Alfano, Chief Executive Officer of Mercury Solar Systems. "A solar power purchase agreement allows a business to take advantage of reduced energy costs over a number of years with little to no upfront out-of-pocket cash."

"MEMO-Sunshine is thrilled to be working with Mercury Solar Systems in New Jersey," remarked MEMO-Sunshine President Michael Mollin. "Mercury Solar Systems has realized the unique value proposition that we offer to our clients in New Jersey, and combined with their superior sales force and design-build expertise we are an unbeatable combination. Sidney Scheinert & Company's flat roof warehouse in Saddle Brook is a prime example of our core market, and we are honored to have been able to work with a company of their stature and longevity in the community on our initial transaction."
